Award-winning electric vehicle charging company, Elm EV, has partnered with electric vehicle consultancy Zero Carbon Futures, to promote the mass uptake of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in the UK.
EV Works is a partnership between Elm EV and Zero Carbon Futures and aims to support organisations and businesses to roll-out large-scale electric vehicle uptake and charging networks across multiple sites.
The first of its kind in the UK, the partnership will offer a bespoke package of support that covers policy, vehicles and charging, as well as aspects such as project management, funding applications, marketing and annual maintenance packages. The EV Works solution has been set up to help businesses and organisations demystify the topic of electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging.

Based at the Future Technology Centre in Sunderland and with over nine years’ collective experience, both companies have gained a wealth of knowledge and contacts, partnering with some of the leading names in the EV industry.

Founded in 2013, Elm EV has installed over 2,000 electric vehicle charging stations at homes and businesses in the UK and has installed chargers for clients including the North East Ambulance Service, Arriva, Manchester University and Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust amongst many others.
The company won two awards in 2015, The Journals North East Small Business of the year and The Sunderland Echo’s, Green Business of the year.
Zero Carbon Futures was set up in 2011 as a not-for-profit, independent consultancy specialising in low carbon vehicle technologies. The company has project managed large-scale charging networks across both North East England and in the UK on behalf of partners such as Nissan, BMW, Renault and VW.
