Nissan have brought their much loved world best selling electric car, the LEAF, bang up-to-date with a new larger battery and improved user technology.

The New LEAF includes a larger capacity battery, that only weighs little more than 20 kilos heavier than the 24kWh model. The new car does not replace the older version, however, and instead will be sold alongside it.

Formula E Adds Another Glamorous Location to its Calendar: Hong Kong

Hong Kong is set to feature on the calendar for season three (S3) of the FIA Formula E Championship.

The Hong Kong ePrix will take place on 9 October 2016, subject to FIA track homologation. The 2km circuit will run between Lung Wo Road and the Star Ferry, with cars expected to reach speeds of up to 225kph (140mph).

John O’Groats to Lands End and Back Again in 24Hours for FREE

Two electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts have completed the epic journey from John O’Groats to Land’s End and back again – for free – in an all-electric Nissan LEAF.

Taking just over two days to finish the 1,652-mile journey, Chris Ramsey and Jonathan Porterfield, both from Scotland, used only publicly available EV charging points, taking advantage of the UK’s growing charging network, comprising more than 7,000 charging stations.

Tesla has opened its new factory dedicated to supply European customers with Model S. The factory, located in Tilburg, streamlines the production process for European deliveries bringing more customers their Model S, faster.

The Tilburg Factory builds Model S from the very same USA manufactured components as used in Tesla’s US factory in Fremont, California. In Tilburg, assembly includes installation of the battery pack, powertrain and rear axle, and the cars first firmware upload.
