Tesla Introduces New Base Model X 60D

Tesla has today launched the cheapest variant of the Model X SUV, the all-wheel drive Model X 60D. Leaf Likes & Dislikes – Long Term Update

Having lived with the Leaf a little while now, a few things stand in both positive and negative lights. Here are my top 5 of each, although this could of course change with time and an alternative perspective. Fortunately, I must say the negative aspects are largely minor and inconsequential so Nissan could easily put them all right with the next generation of the Leaf.

It’s a little nit-picking too, but these are the types of thing you notice with general use and time, unlike on short week-long loans where the car…

Ten Team Names Announced for Formula E Season 3 2016-17

The FIA has released the names of the 10 teams entered to take part in the third season of the FIA Formula E Championship, which gets underway in Hong Kong on October 9.

Eight of the 10 teams have been involved right from the very beginning of the world’s first fully-electric single-seater series, even if some have undergone a name change since then. The new entries come courtesy of Jaguar, the company choosing Formula E to mark its return to motorsport after an absence of over a decade, and the Chinese Techeetah team, that took over Team Aguri’s entry and is owned by China…

Fantastic Race Ends Formula E Championship and London ePrix 2016

The final race of the season was a typically nerve-racking experience as Formula E always delivers. If you like your championships to be close, this was about as close as they get. Headed into the final race of the 2015-16 season two drivers, Lucas di Grassi and Sébastien Buemi were separated by just three points and both were miles ahead of the others.

The two stood alone with a heavy weight on their shoulders as di Grassi has always shown a fast pace right from Formula E’s outset, as had Buemi who nearly won the Championship in its inaugural year…

BMW autonomous driving future with Intel and Mobileye

BMW Look to Intel for Future Autonomous Cars

BMW Group, Intel and Mobileye are creating an open platform for the next generation of cars to create a safe autonomous platform, from door locks to the datacenter.

Intel needs little introduction as the world’s largest chip maker who manufacture and supply computer chips for every conceivable device, from you home computer to – now – your car. It’s no surprise that car manufacturers are turning to established IT brands for hardware and software needs as cars become more and more like yet another appliance.

Mobileye might not be quite so well-known, but it is a small company making big waves…
